Mia Welsh


Mia Welsh-Khabeer is a successful entrepreneur with a career that spans over a decade in music, marketing, and entertainment. Currently serving as the General Manager of Zone 4, Inc., a subsidiary of Interscope Records based in Atlanta, Georgia, Mia manages global operations, marketing and music sales in addition to overseeing the administration and human resources divisions of the label. Mia works alongside Grammy Award winning producer and C.E.O. of Zone 4, Inc., Jamal “Polow da Don” Jones ensuring the daily needs and goals of the company
are met. With platinum selling artists, chart-topping hit records and esteemed accolades, Zone 4, Inc., is proving to become one of the fastest growing music imprints of this generation, indeed creating a league of their own.

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Spelman College and a Masters of Arts in Sports Management & Administration from Georgia State University, Mia thoroughly possesses the skills that ensure success in all her endeavors. Mia is a proud member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and celebrates her 11th year serving as the head coach of Morehouse College’s cheerleading squad.

Mia’s drive and determination is relentless, making her a very busy career woman that wears several hats; in addition to being a Record Label GM, she is CEO of her own consulting company, and the Co-founder of the youth driven non-profit organization, Foundation F.O.C.U.S. which has already been recognized as a groundbreaking service organization by the Mayor and city of Atlanta, with a
Phoenix award (the highest honor the city recognizes for community service.)

Recently married, Mia enjoys spending time with her husband Johnathan and newborn son Kai Amari. Mia is committed to her Alma Mater, Spelman College, where she mentors young ladies during and beyond their tenure at Spelman. Through her innate sense of leadership, Mia also finds time to lend her support as a life coach to a select few and when she’s not mentoring she enjoys running marathons with her Atlanta based run team, Pretty Girls Run. Ultimately, Mia’s fearless approach and will to succeed has her constantly finding new and exciting
ways to stay motivated and dedicated to everything she puts her mind to, thus making “no excuses” the mantra she and her team stand by.
